"My Baby Love"

So I realize that I really blog alot- and it is primarily about the babies... but I have to say that I am just a very proud Mommy who loves for the world to see my cute little ones!!!

Mattie eating her hands- I can't keep them out of her mouth now. So cute!

Here's Hailey!

We are really starting to like our Bumbo chairs- it definitely has taken some getting used to and they really can't stay in them for too long yet, but everyday we are getting stronger and sturdier with our heads!

Daddy's in trouble!!!

The "BEST" Day!

The GROOMSMEN and USHERS! I love this picture! Seems very GQ of the guys! :)

My 2 flower girls- Elizabeth and Emma! They did great in the wedding. They were so pretty and so sweet. Thanks girls for being part of our speical day. :)

This Friday is "Show Us your wedding party and flowers"! I love this idea- it has been just long enough that I am having a great time reminising (sp?) about that great day- the day I married my best friend! My maid of honor was my twin sister and best friend Lauren (she is the 2nd brunette from the left), Dena and Rachel (Ken's sisters and sweet friends of mine), Courtney- one of my closest, dearest friends since college, and Jana- a true close friendship that began at BUNCO! I love all of these girls and truly love that you were all apart of this special day with me! I absolutely love the colors black and white (my zebra theme love) and red- so it was only appropriate that my wedding be these colors. The girls dresses were tea length and had a tulle hem line. I loved them! I actually toyed with the idea of ordering me on just because I liked them so much! (I didn't do that though). They were from Anne Taylor Bridal and I would highly suggest ordering from them. You get a quality made dress for your girls that really does fit well, and if you call and order them- you can ask for a group discount if you order together. We got 20% off because we ordered 5!!! I love a deal.

Oh- my favorite part- the SHOES! The girls had bright red heels to match their bouquets! LOVE that!!! They hated them- I don't think they were comfortable- but no one said looking that good didn't come with a little pain and you girls all look gorgeous!

A close up of the flowers I chose. I feel you can't go wrong with roses!!!! I am so thankful for the precious wedding memories. During the ceremony- Ken's dental school roommate and best friend sang- "A Page is Turned" by Bebo Norman. A great song. I love the words- ENJOY!

"A page is turned by the wind to a boy in curly grin With a world to conquer at the age of ten But as history unfolds and the storybook is told He finds salvation but not at the hands of man
And the God of second chance Picked him up and He let him dance Through a world that is not kind And all this time, preparing him, the one To hold him up when he comes undone Beneath the storm, beneath the sun And now a man, here you stand Your day has come
A page is turned in this world to reveal a little girl With a heart that's bigger, as it is unfurled By the language in her soul, that's teaching her to grow With a careful cover of love that will not fail
And the God of second chance Picked her up and He let her dance Through a world that isn't kind And all this time, preparing her the one To hold her up when she comes undone Beneath the storm, beneath the sun And grown up tall, here you are Your day has come
Beneath the air of autumn, she took him by his hand And warm within the ardor, she took his heart instead And high upon the mountain, he asked her for her hand Just for her hand
A page is turned in this life, he's making her his wife And there is no secret to the source of this much life When the grace that falls like rain is washing them again Just a chance to somehow rise above this land
Where the God of second chance Will pick them up and he'll let them dance Through a world that is not kind And all this time, they're sharing with the one That holds them up when they come undone Beneath the storm, beneath the sun And once again, here you stand And once again, here you stand

Your day has come"

As I look back on my wedding, I get more and more excited about my Lauren's wedding! I know it is going to be a magical night for you both! Cherish every moment of it "Your day has come!" I love you!

Montgomery, Texas- The Neagles!!!

Yesterday, the girls and I took a roadtrip to Montgomery, TX to see some former Galveston friends- The Neagles! It was so good seeing my frined Brooke and her sweet little girl Addy! Ally, was at camp- so I didnt' get to see her, but I know I will in the very near future! Addy has changed so much since the last time I saw her and boy is she cute! Sorry Jack, but I think you have 2 heartbreakers on your hands! :) I really enjoyed visiting with Brooke. She and her husband just finished residency, so it is a reminder that there is a light at the end of our tunnel. Also, we have a mutual love for anything zebra print! :) Here is a picture of Hailey and Addy.

Here is a picture of Mattie and Addy. She was so sweet with them and so gentle. I was very impressed since she is just 2 and a half. :)
See you soon Neagles!

Let the Cereal begin- sort of!

We finally attempted it! What an adventure that was! :) Mattie and Hailey both liked the cereal, but they didn't like waiting in between bites. I guess they are used to the constant flow of a bottle! Right now we are just doing cereal once a day to get used to a spoon. The doctor told us that theya re still getting everything they need nutritionally from me- so this is just practice for when we start real baby food- toward the end of August. Here are a few pictures of our experience. 'Bon Apetit' Mattie's messy mouth!
Mommy talking to Mattie about her cereal. She is such a good listener!

Daddy feeding Hailey.

She was not sure about all of this.

Busy Babies!!!

If you know me- you know that I don't let much slow me down! SO- we had another fun- filled busy weekend! Friday night, once Daddy got home, we got pizza and headed to the beach for the girls very 1st time! It was so fun! We didn't stay long, but it was perfect. Here Ken is with Mattie. Here I am with Hailey! I have a feeling that in the next 3 years they are going to turn into "Water babies"! I think I need to check into swimming lessons!
Saturday morning, we got up and went to our sweet friend Lindsay P.'s baby shower! Davis is due in October. It was so fun being at a boy shower since my world is PINK! Here is a picture of our friends Christen and Cora! She loves the hair bows too!

Here I am with Hailey at her first "party"!

Here I am with Mattie! Everyone had a fit over the 3 girls! It was so fun having them out and about this morning!
Lindsay opening our present! Katy and I went in together and gave her several cute outfits and Davis's first pair of swimming trunks!

3 Friends, 3 Babies + 1 on the way! Congratulations Lindsay and Brandon- we can't wait to meet Davis!
Ok- so after the shower we went home for a little R & R! The girls took a great nap and I cleaned- blah!
This afternoon- I got the girls ready and we headed to Joe's Crab Shack for the Resiterns "Welcome to the Island" celebration. It was good to see familiar faces and reconnect. I didn't take any pictures there- Ken wasn't with me so I was ALL hands on deck with the girls- however I did get a few before we left! I can't help but take their picture- the are so CUTE!!!!

Mattie is SO SO SO happy! I laugh out loud at this picture!

Hailey officially rolled over from her back to her tummy tonight, then back to her back again! I have a feeling we are going to be on the "move" soon!

Show US Your Dream Dress!

To all of you "blogaholics" (like me) out there- I love looking at the blogs of people I know and the people they know, etc... I have recently stumbled on "Kelly's Korner"
Her blog is precious- a great place to share ideas, baby pictures, and expressing her thoughts and feelings! Every Friday she does a "Show Us" idea- today is "Show Us Your Dream Dress"- I loved my wedding dress so I thought I would jump on this band wagon!
One of my favorite pictures- No, I am not trying to escape!
The DRESS of my dreans! It is strapless with beading and a lace up back!

The amazing man I married September 1, 2007! I know that so many people say that when you marry young- you have no idea what you are promising and to an extent that is probably true, but I do love you more everyday! I amazed at how my love grows! Just when I think I can't love you more- I wake up the next morning and I do! I am so thankful that God has given me you!! I believe our vows everyday and cherish the memories of the day that we promised our lives to each other. I love you KEN!

Curtain Ideas????

Good Morning ALL!
I love the mornings where I wake up and really feel like we all slept well- no pacifier breaks in the night, just peaceful sleeping! These nights give me a little extra pep in my step for sure! Today's goal for me is CURTAINS- I am in need of ideas! I am on a "Mommy stays home" budget but our living room needs curtains... any ideas? Please let me know if you have any place/website/ideas of what I could do hidden up your sleeve! I have four windows- they are in sets of 2. Maybe I should post a picture of my curatin-less windows so you can see them! The room is decorated in khaki, black and red. :) HELP PLEASE!!

Nursery SWEET Nursery!

Even though all of my "new" home boxes aren't unpacked yet I did want to go ahead and share my favorite room in the house- Mattie and Hailey's Nursery! It is as girly as it gets!!! ( I love it and know they do too!) Here are a few pictures: From the doorway- it is a full little room for sure.

Look what Mommy made for us- our bow holders and little signs to remember our birth information!
Our closet- kind of small, but works for now! :) The girls will get a walk in someday! I firmly believe that every girl can appreciate that!

Weekend Fun!

How was your weekend? I must say ours was pretty busy again! I still have plenty of unpacking to do, but it seems that everything else seems so much more fun than that! Sunday, after church at First Baptist, Galveston (which was a great sermon- Dr. Meador) the Haynes family headed to Kingwood for a little extended family time and birthday celebration! Yesterday was Honey's birthday in Memphis and Aunt Shirley's Birthday in Texas! What fun! The Haynes girls LOVE birthdays! I love them so much- I have special things planned for my little ones when their 1st birthday rolls around! Mommy doesn't want it to come too quickly though- I am loving the baby stage!!! Here we are with Aunt Shirley and Uncle Leonard! They are ready for Mommy and Daddy to have a "Date Night" so they can come babysit!
Here Aunt Linda is giving Mattie her bottle! What a fun day!

I had to post this picture too- I think these little Gap outfits are so cute. They are terry cloth and great after we go swimming! I love anything bright on my little cuties! Can you guess who is who???
