Gobble... Gobble... Gobble!

Whew- this month sure is flying by!!! The girls are really keeping me on my toes right now! It is so fun watching them learn so much everyday! Today- I got Hailey out of her car seat to bring her inside and as soon as I picked her up- she just beamed! I don't know if it was being outside, the sunshine, or Mommy getting her- but in that moment she was BLISSFULLY HAPPY! I cherish those times! As many of you heard- I have already begun decorating my house for Christmas! I don't want to miss a minute of our babies very 1st Christmas! Mattie is totally amazed by the tree in the living room, but once she saw the pink one in her room- well let's just say I think I have a girl after my own heart. I will post pictures after Thanksgiving! Speaking of Thanksgiving, I have SO SO SO much to be thankful for this year:
Here is my Top 10 list:
1. God's grace and mercy shown to me EVERYDAY!
2. My amazing husband: who doesn't hear enough from me how much I love, honor and cherish him!
3. The MOST BEAUTIFUL baby girls in the world! Everyday with you two is a BLESSING!
4. Parents that have encouraged me and loved me- UNCONDITIONALLY.
5. My sister and her hubs and Ken's sister's and their families!
6. Surviving hurricane season- this year!
7. Babies, babies and more babies to come! This has been the year that so many of my dear sweet friends and I became Mommy's- I am thankful for that for all of us! God is SO good!!
8. That I get to see the ocean everyday. "I still feel small when I stand beside the ocean"
9. The Libby's- we love you guys!
10. Friendships that I have prayed for and God has honored that prayer! Katy, Christen, and Brooke: I don't think Galveston would be "home" to me without the friendship of each of you! I love you!

What are you thankful for this holiday season? Don't these little Turkeys look ADORABLE????? Their Honey gave them these dresses! Thanks Honey!!

"Babies" It's Cold Outside!!!

Winter has officially landed in Texas- and it feels so good! (Can you tell I am just bouncing from one song to another in my head?) Here are a few pictures from when Aunt LaLa came to visit- she bought Libby this ADORABLE hat- so of course we had to try it on my girls and well we went into a cuteness over load! Hailey with Aunt LaLa- so cute. Look how skinny you look L!
Mattie holding her bottle- she actually does this alot. CRACKS ME UP!!!! Uses her arm instead of her hand. She is so silly. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!

Under the weather...

Although the weather has been gorgeous here- we haven't been able to spend much time enjoying it. Our family had a big weekend- we went to our friend and neighbor's 1st birthday party- and had a blast! It was so cute!!! After that, we went to have our 9 month pictures taken- let's just say it- it was a BUST!!!- so we are re-doing them this coming weekend. Hopefully the girls will be in better spirits. Sunday we all got up and ready for church (I had nursery duty- which I think I typically provide 1/2 of the nursery goers!) About that time- Ken noticed that Mattie looked flushed and was really warm- 102.2 temp :( No church for us. Turns out she has her 1st ear infection. We made it 9 months without any antibiotics!! WHOOHOO! She is feeling much better after 2 days of meds- but last night Hailey started running a temp of 101.1. I think this is a reaction to her flu shot- but we are taking it easy just in case. Here are a few pictures of my little "not feeling so good" friends!
Ken thought she was too hot for clothes and wanted a cold rag- cracks me up how he thinks they think like us. The rag didn't last long- she was not a fan.

Last but not least- when everyone was feeling good yesterday- I caught a BIG event! If you think I had my hands full before- watch this!!!

We are movers and shakers!!!

Tis the season!!!

It is that time of year- where everything seems to go at WARP speed!!! Just today I was thinking of the coming weeks and the plans we have and felt a little overwhelmed! Excited, but overwhelmed. Usually by now I have almost all my Christmas shopping done- not this year! I have lists, but only a few gifts! I do enjoy the whole process- the drive, the looking, the finding the perfect gift, the crowds, the sales, the time with friends and my girls, the wrapping presents and finally putting them under my tree!!! Maybe soon I'll have more accomplished!
Things I am looking forward to this holiday season:

*1st Thanksgivingwith my girls and (seeing Memphis peeps!)
*Lauren's baby shower
*Nutcracker market with Brooke
*Surprises!!!
*1st Christmas with the girls and Ken
*Libby's arrival (Debuting end of Dec!)
**Mattie and Hailey's "early" 1st Birthday!!!
Can you believe they are already 8 months old!!!! I am in AWE of the blessings I have been given- EVERYDAY with my girls is the BEST DAY!!!
Mattie Lynn- has a smile that could light up any heart!!
Hailey Sutton- keeps this Mommy on her toes, but I see so much of me in her! This little chick know how to make those around her smile!!!

Our 1st Halloween- My little LOVEBUGS!

Since Mattie and Hailey can't stay up past 6- especially with the time change, Halloween was very short lived for them. I love this picture of the girls in their costumes. I can just tell that they are each wondering what the other is wearing! HA.
Our family on Halloween!
Aunt La La with the Lovebugs! I defintely think she got some good practice in!

Aunt La La in her costume- See the kitty with the fishbowl- HAHAHAH!

A trip to Galveston wouldn't be complete without a beach picture!
I sure do love the ocean- EVERYDAY! Galveston is GORGEOUS right now! I am starting to think it is a best kept secret!

Ready, Set, BIKER RALLY!

This weekend was a GREAT one! Aunt La La and Uncle Skeet came to visit the island and it happened to be the "Lonestar Rally" as well as Halloween- oh the entertainment and sights we saw! I had Lauren capture a picture of the 1st bike we saw- note* this guy is a grown man on a tiny bike- embarassing. So the guys (Jonathan, Ken, and Scott) started off the weekend with a Flounder fishing trip- that was VERY successful! Although- Flounder are the creepiest looking fish, but yummy once fried!

The catch!

Lauren, the girls and I did a little shopping! Here is a "Tummy picture" of her on Post Office Street! Libby will make her debut the end of Dec/beginning of Jan.

Saturday afternoon- we got a sitter for the girls- (Thanks Laura!) and headed to the Lonestar Biker Rally! WOW-WHAT AN EVENT! I have never seen so many bikes, leather, and unusual sights! I wore the most biker looking shirt I could find- you know I love a theme! Here Ken and I are at the start.
Lauren and Scott

The Strand- bikes GALORE! Keep in mind this is just a fraction of what we saw!

Lauren and I on the strand- look at all the chrome!

I wish I could post more pictures of what we saw- but I promise you would have to see it to believe it!

Ken loved this guys helmet! Very Texan!
More weekend pics soon!
