Dickens on the Strand 2012

Last weekend- we headed out to The Strand in downtown Galveston with a few of our favorite friends! It was a great time as usual celebrating "the Dickens" time period. We each rode an elephant and saw the parade... I will not lie... I left with more questions than answers this year. I am afraid some people were confused- they thought it was Halloween and not period attire. Oh well- still FUN to see.

Mattie and Hailey were quite smitten with Michael that night! They wanted him to carry them all around- a nice break for this mommy!

Sunday- we went to a special "Cookies with Santa" that the UTMB faculty wives put on. It was so nice! The girls enjoyed a cookie (or 2) and got to see Santa again! They are definitely loving all the goodies the jolly man is bringing!

We also got a VERY SPECIAL treat- we met our newest friend, Alaina Curbow! A precious little elf for sure! Mattie and Hailey were great helpers when it came to opening "Lainey's" gift. They are just crazy over babies! Hopefully, this will still be the case if we decide for another little Haynes! (Don't pass out Honey- not now!)
