Visiting "Farmer Uncle Greg and Aunt Ra Ra"

I am blessed to be your aunt!  

This past weekend- my little family got the chance to visit Little Rock together to meet this little man!  Let me tell you- he is as precious, sweet and adorable as he looks!   The girls loved him!  My heart sores seeing M&H with babies!

Also, while we were visiting- Aunt RaRa took us on a farm/baby cow tour.  It was fun seeing the girls agricultural side! MOO!

I renamed all of the separated cow areas.  This is the toddler room... still being bottle fed, but allowed more freedom to play and explore together. 

This is the NICU- the newest calves are here in separate homes for a bit.  

They were so sweet! As usual, my 2 girls were not scared to reach out and touch a cow.  So we have officially chased chickens, harassed a duck, and now loved on a calf. 

One thing I learned is cows have AMAZING eyelashes!!!  Look at those things!

I think she will be the talk of the field once she leaves the NICU area.  

I name #102: Bombshell.

If any of you know my husband very well- you know he has a very sensitive nose...

Guess who also got his gift- it is almost a sensory overload at time.  They both are grossed out by smells that I honestly can't smell.  

Mattie- was ready to leave the cow milk pumping room.  I will say it brought back memories of nursing/pumping and I had to laugh at the similarities... of women and cows.  Now if I could just get those eyelashes!

One thing I remember about teaching, was how many of the kids I taught have never been to the beach.  I have always felt so blessed to get to share the beach with them- well almost daily.  While at Rachel's, Mattie discovered something she had never seen- a pinecone.  Oh my poor little beach girl! 

Thank you Aunt Ra Ra for letting us come and visit! Your little man is precious!

We're BACK- for a visit...

HELLO CAUSEWAY!  

I am not going to lie- it still felt like going home.  Don't get me wrong- I am loving Corpus and we are just meeting alot of amazing people!  We have been SO blessed!!! :)

We played at the beach- even ran on the seawall.

Enjoyed our time together!  I adore watching these 3 as BFF's!  

One night we even snuck away and had a great night our to celebrate friends!

Also, had lunch with Laura, Ellie, Kate, Boone, Everett, Jackson, and Nora.  It was great getting to hold all these babies! I miss my Fish Village family. 

 Thanks Liz for putting us up for a few day.  LOVE you girl!

Galveston... Oh, Galveston!

This special little island will always have a PRECIOUS place in my heart!

This past week Mattie, Hailey, and I visited some of our favorite places and people there. 

Here is just a drop in the bucket- a few reasons why I will always love the island!

Galveston has rocked our world!  We came to this island as naive newlyweds, but left as a family that had grown together.  :) It was an amazing experience and I feel blessed to get tho opportunity to live in in such an amazing place!

10 days post surgery-

and doing great!  

We are going to start using silicone strips in an effort to try and prevent any scarring. I am impressed with how good her "mark" looks now.  

We got the results back and it was a type of epidermal cyst.  Although, I knew it was nothing... I did breath a sigh of relief hearing fro sure! :)

Bye Bye Bump!

I am still not sure what it is... but the "bump" that Mattie has had since she was about 18months old is officially gone!  It hasn't always looked like this with the purple bruise...  It used to look like a mosquito bite, but about 3 months back she fell and bruised it... and it hasn't gotten better. 

Here we are with our most favorite doctor!

Hailey had to have her picture made too! :)

We go to the office and got Hailey-bug all set up.  

I went back with Mattie to help get the anesthesia going.  I held the laughing gas mask on her while the NA started her IV.  She was asleep in no time.  A very brave little girl= a proud mommy.  I snuck out after that and they went to work.  :)  

About 20 minutes later... bunny emerged with his boo boo bandaged like Mattie.

When we got home- she was SO wide eyed, but bounced back quickly.  She has yet to complain about her mark hurting.  

Already looking better!  She got 5 external stitches and several internal.  I am so amazed and appreciative that this can be done for Mattie.  

Here she is the day of surgery...

You can take the girls out of Memphis, but you can't take the Memphis out of the girls... We love our "Grillz"- sucker balls. 

Here is Mattie the day after surgery.  You can't really see much other than a few stitches.  I was impressed her eye wasn't black!

On Sunday, Ken too the stitches out and put surgi strips back on.  It looked great!  Isn't it wild how well kids heal!!

Mattie- one week after surgery.  Doing great!  I think the bandages will come off in the next day or so.  

She is so HAPPY and so are we!
