Breakfast with Santa

Christmas is most definitely in full steam- and The Haynes girls are crazy about the man in the red sit! We have our friendly little "Elf on the Shelf", ELVIS, watching to let Santa know if we are being naughty or nice! He has worked wonders this year! We also had a big turn out at our house last Saturday for the annual Breakfast with Santa!
Lots of friends, lots of food, lots of playing and LOTS of fun!

Mattie loving on all the babies...
Santa arriving for a little visit between work hours at the workshop!
Mattie loves this man from a distance, but will do anything for a present.
Hailey on the other hand, like her Mommy, never meets a stranger!

Playing with our new toys with one of favorite friends, Everett.
The gangs all here! Pretty funny that all daddies are taking the pictures (except Benji- who is holding a Coughlin twin).
Great Day!
Thanks for visiting Santa!
The Haynes girls will see you soon!

Dickens on the Strand 2012

Last weekend- we headed out to The Strand in downtown Galveston with a few of our favorite friends! It was a great time as usual celebrating "the Dickens" time period. We each rode an elephant and saw the parade... I will not lie... I left with more questions than answers this year. I am afraid some people were confused- they thought it was Halloween and not period attire. Oh well- still FUN to see.

Hailey and Mommy- so brave!
Daddy and Mattie- she was scared at first, but ended up loving it!

Mattie and Hailey were quite smitten with Michael that night! They wanted him to carry them all around- a nice break for this mommy!
They enjoyed the petting zoo too!
What's the drama llama?
Sweet Tiffani and me!

Sunday- we went to a special "Cookies with Santa" that the UTMB faculty wives put on. It was so nice! The girls enjoyed a cookie (or 2) and got to see Santa again! They are definitely loving all the goodies the jolly man is bringing!
We also got a VERY SPECIAL treat- we met our newest friend, Alaina Curbow! A precious little elf for sure! Mattie and Hailey were great helpers when it came to opening "Lainey's" gift. They are just crazy over babies! Hopefully, this will still be the case if we decide for another little Haynes! (Don't pass out Honey- not now!)

I hope you are enjoying this holiday season!

God is SO GOOD!

XOXO,

December- off and running!

We have kicked the Christmas season off right- a real life trip on the Polar Express!!! The day after Thanksgiving, The Haynes gang hopped a plane back to Galveston for the night. Saturday morning we got up and headed to Tyler, TX to meet up with bestie, Katy K. and her family. We arrived right at 3:00pm-plenty of time for Katy and I to do some VERY quick Christmas shopping for the girls! After that we headed back to get the girls ready for their big night out!
Matching jammies were a must!
We boarded the train in Palestine and off we went to The North Pole! On the way there, the train was filled with the storybook story, Christmas carols, hot chocolate, and cookies for all!

As we got to the North Pole, we were able to see Santa in his homeland! We waved out the window- excitement filled the train. Before long we were headed back to the station- much to our surprise- Santa comes through our train car and gives each child a bell! It was an awesome experience and so much fun! A big thanks to David and Katy's in-laws for letting us stay with them again!
The BEST way to start this season by far!
The whole crew! It has been a true blessing watching Lilly, Mattie, Hailey, and Paige become such sweet friends- we LOVE you guys!
