My 2 flower girls- Elizabeth and Emma! They did great in the wedding. They were so pretty and so sweet. Thanks girls for being part of our speical day. :)
This Friday is "Show Us your wedding party and flowers"! I love this idea- it has been just long enough that I am having a great time reminising (sp?) about that great day- the day I married my best friend! My maid of honor was my twin sister and best friend Lauren (she is the 2nd brunette from the left), Dena and Rachel (Ken's sisters and sweet friends of mine), Courtney- one of my closest, dearest friends since college, and Jana- a true close friendship that began at BUNCO! I love all of these girls and truly love that you were all apart of this special day with me! I absolutely love the colors black and white (my zebra theme love) and red- so it was only appropriate that my wedding be these colors. The girls dresses were tea length and had a tulle hem line. I loved them! I actually toyed with the idea of ordering me on just because I liked them so much! (I didn't do that though). They were from Anne Taylor Bridal and I would highly suggest ordering from them. You get a quality made dress for your girls that really does fit well, and if you call and order them- you can ask for a group discount if you order together. We got 20% off because we ordered 5!!! I love a deal.
Oh- my favorite part- the SHOES! The girls had bright red heels to match their bouquets! LOVE that!!! They hated them- I don't think they were comfortable- but no one said looking that good didn't come with a little pain and you girls all look gorgeous!
"A page is turned by the wind to a boy in curly grin With a world to conquer at the age of ten But as history unfolds and the storybook is told He finds salvation but not at the hands of man
And the God of second chance Picked him up and He let him dance Through a world that is not kind And all this time, preparing him, the one To hold him up when he comes undone Beneath the storm, beneath the sun And now a man, here you stand Your day has come
A page is turned in this world to reveal a little girl With a heart that's bigger, as it is unfurled By the language in her soul, that's teaching her to grow With a careful cover of love that will not fail
And the God of second chance Picked her up and He let her dance Through a world that isn't kind And all this time, preparing her the one To hold her up when she comes undone Beneath the storm, beneath the sun And grown up tall, here you are Your day has come
Beneath the air of autumn, she took him by his hand And warm within the ardor, she took his heart instead And high upon the mountain, he asked her for her hand Just for her hand
A page is turned in this life, he's making her his wife And there is no secret to the source of this much life When the grace that falls like rain is washing them again Just a chance to somehow rise above this land
Where the God of second chance Will pick them up and he'll let them dance Through a world that is not kind And all this time, they're sharing with the one That holds them up when they come undone Beneath the storm, beneath the sun And once again, here you stand And once again, here you stand
A close up of the flowers I chose. I feel you can't go wrong with roses!!!! I am so thankful for the precious wedding memories. During the ceremony- Ken's dental school roommate and best friend sang- "A Page is Turned" by Bebo Norman. A great song. I love the words- ENJOY!

Stopping by via Kelly's Korner. Your wedding was beautiful! I loved the bridesmaid dresses and their shoes, although I bet they did start hurting their feet after awhile. The price of beauty :)!
