Favorite October Weekend!

This past weekend- The Kummerfeld's came to town- G-town that is! We were able to spend time talking, laughing, and loving. I don't know it Galveston would mean what it does to me without Katy- she is my definition of a heart friend. I pray that we are as close 20 years from now as we are now. We are just in synd- ya know? I pray we all have a friend that we can just sync with! It is so funny how much we think alike- sometimes just a nod is all we need! :) Get it?
Hahahahah! Here we are outside of Rudy and Paco's! Thank heaven for babysitters even if the thought of 3 terrified her. We had an amazing time with The K's and David's parents!!! :)

Me and the hubs- he's so cute!

Here are few pictures of the girls playing together! :) I love seeing all 3 together!!!!

Lilly's face: PRICELESS!!!

Show her how it's done Mattie!

Hailey leading Lilly in the "wrong direction" I am sure...

The four of us after church- First Baptist just isn't the same without you guys! We love you so much! I am so thankful that God has given me your friendship. I love you!

After the K's headed out- we headed to the beach... here is what I caught on the camera...

Hailey- NEVER sits still- here is a way that "Stopped" her and she loved it!

That is one BUSY MOMMY!

Mattie= no fear of the ocean= scared mom!!! Hailey is with me safely on the sand!

Temple get away...

Last Saturday- I was able to visit Temple TX to help celebrate my favorite Texas girl Lilly's first birthday! It was precious. Katy sure knows how to throw a party! I arrived Friday night before the party- since my inlaws were in town- it was just me and a very quite 4 hour drive! When I got there, Katy's dad- Hot Rod, took us out to dinner. It was big fun! I always have an amazing time with Katy's fam- it is like my family away from home. :) :) :) Katy's dad takes as much care of me as he does her- Dr. Pepper is a big deal. :) It was so sweet- as Lilly's gift- Hot Rod gave Katy a David Yurman bracelet to be given to Lilly when she is old enough. What a sweet, thoughtful gift for a mommy! :) Katy and I spent the rest of the night, talking- what we do best! I really just love our friendship!
Saturday- everything was perfect, great weather, great food, great timing, and one happy little girl!

Such a sweet face- I am so thankful I was able to share in your big day! :)

Happy 1st Birthday Lilly K! The Haynes Family loves you!

Grammy and Pop Pop are coming to town!

Here we are ready and waiting for Grammy and Pop Pop to arrive...

We love to be outside and now it is tolerable since the weather has changed. I have never seen Galveston more beautiful than it is in the early fall. :)

Grammy and Pop Pop made it here about 8:00pm Wednesday night- we had about enough time for a few hugs and laps around the living room and it was off to bed.

The girls had the best time being in the "spot light". It was so fun watching them with their grandparents. I love having both set s of grandparents come to visit- I really feel like I get a ton accomplished. :) They are so much HELP and with these 2 busy bees- I need all the help I can get!
That is a lap full!

Friday- I headed to Temple to see my best friend Katy and celebrate Lilly's 1st Birthday. I was able to leave the girls with Ken's parents and have some "Mommy Down time"- which was great. I was really able to help with set-up for the party and not just chasing littles. :) (The party is another post coming soon!) I got back Saturday afternoon, so Ken and I got to sneak away for a "date night" at Yamatos. It was great!

Sunday, after church, we headed to The Kemah Boardwalk. The girls loved being outside and seeing everything, but Hailey was definitely OVER her stroller once we got her out. I had to break out the "IN CASE OF EMERGENCY PACIFIER"- whew! We made it.

After the board walk- we headed to eat at LaBrisa. It was great! The girls ate their weight in beans and rice and fajita steak! Thanks so much for coming to visit us! We enjoyed every minute! Come again soon!

Littlest Pumpkins in The Haynes Patch!

HAPPY FALL Y'ALL! The Haynes girls are officially in the mood for fall- we have our pumpkins out and on and we are ready for the cooler weather- although I do LOVE some summer- I am ready to see a new season- Galveston style.

Mattie and Hailey just keep us laughing- they are so full of life and personality. The other day I took their carseats apart to be washed- which by the way you need a Master's degree in putting together and taking apart these things- Ha! They had the best time sitting in them in front of the tv. I guess it was like their own little movie theater!
Aren't they just the cutest lil' pumpkins?!?!
Happy Fall!

Family Fun Day!

What we had this weekend! Saturday, we convinced Daddy to take us to lunch and then to Kemah Boardwalk. Ken and I have been there before- pre Ike, but the girls have never been. I also had a major craving for Mexican food- SO we headed to La Brisa. It was great! The girls ate beans rice and fajita meat like they were originally from Mexico! We were able to sit outside- which the girls loved and we didn't feel like we were disturbing anyone that way either. Aren't these dresses adorable? our sweet friends "The Nichol's" game them to us at my baby shower in Nashville. Kristen made them- what a skill to have!
Mattie eating her chips!

Hailey found the Mardi Gras beads hanging on the ceiling- ha! After lunch, off to the Boardwalk...

Although my girls were too small to ride anything, we had a blast walking around and watching the other kids. It was fun just being out as a family.

After our trip to Kemah, we headed home for naps and dinner. Shrimpfest was going on downtown- The Strand. We decided we would walk around for a little bit. We saw serveral of our friends, but the highlight of the day was the "nah nahs" known to us as horses.

What a great day with my most favorite 3 people!
