Last March- Ken was accepted into the residency program at UTMB, Galveston, Texas. We were thrilled because this was his #1 pick and not too many people get there first choice. (I am a very proud wife- so bear with me). As most of you know we have had a crazy, eventful, blessed, challenging, year since then so I thought it only fitting to repost what I posted last year about our move! Let me recap our year for you

June- moved to Galveston, Rachel's wedding, Garrett's wedding

July- Ken on call (all month), found out I was pregnant, San Antonio trip

August- I started teaching at Oppe, found out having twins

September- 1st anniversary, HURRICANE IKE hit :(, stayed in Memphis

October- went back to Galveston, I went back to work for 2 weeks, quit, moved to Nashville

November- Ken started at Vanderbilt, I'm still pregnant with twins, Thanksgiving ( I ate alot)

December- Christmas!!

January- Memphis shower, Nashville shower, Katy visited, decorated nursery

February- GIRLS came early, c-section, 2 weeks in NICU, Ken SUPER busy at Vandy

March- Ken studying for OMSAT- big Oral surgery test (that he did AWESOME on by the way), preemies come home, sleepy mommy

April- things are calming down... there is always a calm before the storm right.

May- opportunity to return to Galveston- we take it, packing to move back to Texas

June- packing, girls almost 4 months, move on the 12th, Chicago the end of the month for me!

WHEW!!! What a year.... so...

Fun Day with the Girls! :)

Today the girls and I went to lunch with one of my sorority sisters- Rebecca. We had such a good time chatting it up. The girls loved getting out and about too! We actually ate at the Mellow Mushroom in Franklin- the last time I was there was February 14, I had the girls February 15! How funny!

Our sassy dresses given to us by special friends in Temple, Texas- see you all soon!!!

We are such HAPPY babies!!! The girls love to be sung too by mommy- I am no good- but don't tell them that!

MEMPHIS Visit!!!

Here the "New" Mommies are with our girls. We went on a Dexter visit. It was so good seeing some of the girls we used to work with.

One of my favorite people- Shelly! She and I started Dexter together 6 years ago. Whoa! Time sure flies!

After the Dexter trip- we met up with a great friend- Jana and her sweet "big girl" Belle! She wanted to attempt holding both at the same time. Belle wanted to help too! :) Looks like she has her hands full.

Just like old times- Me, Jana, Mexican restaurant... just now we need high chairs too! It was so good seeing you girls.

It's a MOM-unmental Day!!!

Happy Mommy's Day! WOW! What a special day for the Haynes family! Ken and the girls really went out of their way to show me how special I am to them. Daddy helped the girls write me a note that I saw at the middle of the night feeding- saying we were heading out of the house at 5:45am to go eat pancakes at The Pancake Pantry- I have wanted to go here for a while. You have to go this early to beat the crowd! It was great- I do love a good breakfast plus I was up anyway! Once back home- I got the best Mommy Day present- a remote car starter! So thoughtful. As you can imagine, I often have my hands full- one less thing to have to plan ahead for as the summer heat is upon us!

What a very speical day for me. God has truly blessed me with an amazing husband and not one, but 2 gorgeous baby girls. My cup runneth over... :)
